I thought this would be one of the easier prompts, but I quite struggled with it. I actually drew a total blank, so I left it for 2 days… Not sure what I want to say with this drawing either. A race to the top? Beer as reward? Where is the gift? You figure it out.

We try so hard to get to the top, and in doing so make ourselves dependent on substances that give us temporary breaks from reality.

Pretty good! If I ever get famous you can write the reviews. Once I had friends interpreting the shit out of my paintings. In the end they looked at me proudly. My answer was that there is so much blue because I bought the colour that day and really liked the shade. No other reason 😛

Haha! I love the interpretation story! I wonder how many other artists have perfectly simple motivations for pieces that critics find a million and one ‘deep’ meanings in.
