Went through my photos as I was looking for something specific. Found anything but the photo I was looking for. But amongst them I discovered this gem from 2016 – an inspired by Iceland kitsch compilation postcard that I drew to send to the boyfriends family.

Inktober Day 14 – Clock
It´s ice cream o´clock… again.
My craving for sweets proportionately increases with the decrease in daylight hours.
The living room table is showing traces of inktober as well.
Icelandic Farm Life
Another prompt from #WorldWatercolorMonth. I turned the farm life into an Icelandic farm life.
At the end of spring, farmers will bring their sheep up into the mountains, where they will roam wild and free during the summer months. In the beginning of September farmers will go out and start gathering them again. This is called Réttir – the annual sheep round-up.
Mannequins
Mannequins are standing in a row….
Absoluetly love this song
A new place for Bambi
It’s all about old paintings that found a new home this week. This one is adding a splash of colour to a friends apartment in Reykjavik. And he was so nice to take a more that professional picture of it when I asked him for a random shot. I think I will ask him to photograph my new paintings once they are finished. He definitely did a good job and knows what he is doing.
As he wrote me: “I used a 50mm fixed lens, with shadowless ring light, 7 exposure bracket with deep zoom detail and color accuracy to photograph your print.”
Takk fyrir!
Exhibition in Reykjavík
Yes, all the works I’ve been painting in June like a mad woman I just put up at this small gallery space in downtown Reykjavik.
The exhibition is titled “What animal are you?”
So if you are around and feel like dropping by you are more than welcome.
The paintings will be on display at Kingdom Withing Tattoo Studio and Gallery, Skólavörðustígur 24, 101 Reykjavík from September 1st to September 23.
Opening times are Mo – Fr, 10 – 5pm.
See you there!
Time for another siesta…
I posted a picture of this painting the first time a couple of months ago when it was still a work in progress. So here finally the finished version of it.
And regarding the title… Maybe I just like taking naps so much ^^ (see here for Siesta I & Siesta II)
Where Elves And Puffins Play Hide And Seek
Did you know that there are loads of elves out there in Iceland? I went to discover them in the fjord of Borgarfjörður eystri.
Mole the World II
Forgot to post this one. The second mole for Mole the World Project, which you can find also in their gallery. Plus many more moles. You can also send them your own moles ^^
